Mengkritik tidak bererti menentang, menyetujui tidak semestinya menyokong, menegur tidak bermakna membenci, dan berbeza pendapat adalah kawan berfikir yang baik.

Senarai Pencalonan Anugerah Akademi ke 81

Seperti yang dijangkakan, Slumdog Millionaire menerima pencalonan untuk Filem Terbaik, Pengarah Terbaik dan Lakon Layar Adaptasi Terbaik. Selain anugerah utama itu, filem yang dirakamkan di Mumbai itu turut menerima dua pencalonan untuk Lagu Asal Terbaik menerusi O...Saya dan Jai O. Tidaklah mengejutkan bila filem itu turut dicalonkan untuk Muzik Asal Terbaik setelah A.R.Rahman turut memenangi anugerah yang sama di Golden Globes. Filem lakonan Dev Patel dan Freida Pinto itu turut dicalonkan dalam Suntingan Terbaik dan Sinematografi Terbaik. Secara keseluruhan filem Slumdog Millionaire menerima 10 pencalonan. Saya memang merupakan peminat filem Slumdog Millionaire yang sudah saya tonton tiga empat kali tanpa jemu. Saya mengharapkan pengundi untuk Anugerah Akademi tanpa prejudis akan memilih filem itu sebagai Filem Terbaik.

Kate Winslet hanya menerima satu pencalonan untuk Pelakon Wanita Terbaik menerusi filem The Reader tetapi tidak dicalonkan untuk filem Revolutionary Road.

    betul la SM.. muvi tu cekap gile.. tapi sbb aku tak tgk 4 muvi yg lain tu, so tak adil utk aku ckp SM (slumdog millionaire) layak mng ke tak hehe
